Rolls
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup hot tap water
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2/ t salt
2 egg
2T yeast
1/2 warm water
6 to 7 cups Flour
Mix yeast and warm water set aside
Mix hot water sugar and salt
Mix in egg and can of milk
Beat in 4 to 5 cups of flour Beat for 5 min
Mix in enough flour to create a semi sticky dough, cover and let set for ten minutes, split dough into two balls, roll in a rectangle cut down center and then cut 2 inch strips dip in melted butter and tie in knots place on baking sheet let rise bake at 400 degrees 10 minutes or until brown.
If using for Orange rolls, roll ball into rectangle and spread with filling and make like a cinnamon rolls, place in muffin well greased muffing tins and let rise.
Orange Roll filling
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup orange juice (from concentrate)
2T orange Zest
Combine all ingredients in a heavy pan and boil until thick about 10 to 15 minutes. Do not under cook or over cook, it's a practice thing. it would be like cold maple syrup or a little thicker.
Fruit Salad
2 large cans of Pineapple chucks
2 large cans of mandarin oranges
4 bananas
1 sm box cook and serve vanilla pudding
1 sm box cook and serve tapioca pudding
Place pudding in a heavy sauce pan
Drain canned fruit reserve juice
Measure juice you will need three cups of liquid if you are short on juice, make up the difference with water the key is 3 cups of liquid ad one heaping table spoon of frozen Orange Juice. Pour in pan with pudding and bring to a boil, boil until thick about 5 min or less add pineapple and oranges cool in the fridge ad sliced bananas before you serve.
Hot Fudge
combine
3T Coco
2 Cups sugar
4 T Flour
mix well with whisk
After the dry ingredients or well mixed
Ad 1 can evaporated milk and 1 cube of butter
Bring to a boil and cook till thickened
remove from heat and ad 1 T vanilla
use on ice cream, angle food cake, fruit, or just eat it with a spoon. I put this in a small canning jar and give it as a Christmas gift with a half gallon of ice cream.
