Emergency Preparedness #8...Whatever Else

There are many general preparedness websites, and even though many of them may approach life from a different political point of view than you may find comfortable, there is still a lot of great information.

Emergency Preparedness #7...72 Hour KIt

There are many definitions of a 72 hour kit, from a #5 can or a five gallon bucket, to an entire pickup load. My wife and I prepared ours to fit into a backpack that is always loaded and ready to go. Others are here and here. You can buy them pre-assembled or build your own....I reccommend that.

Emergency Preparedness #7...Storms

Your 72-hour survival kit should include: a supply of boards, tools, batteries, nonperishable foods, and the other equipment you will need when a hurricane strikes. Continue normal activities and stay tuned to the weather service or storm warnings for advice, keep alert.
Tornados, Hurricanes.

Emergency Preparedness #6...WILDFIRES!!

Many of you live in forests, prairies, or grasslands that are susceptible to wild fires Here is some good information to help you prepare.

Emergency Preparedness #5...FLOODS!

Floods are the most common and widespread of all natural hazards. Some floods develop over a period of days, but flash floods can result in raging waters in just a few minutes. Water runs off steeper ground very rapidly, causing natural drainage systems to overflow with rushing flood waters and a deadly cargo of rocks, mud, smashed trees and other debris. Mudslides are also a danger created by flood conditions.

Emergency Preparedness #4 ...EARTHQUAKES

Earthquakes in diverse places? Yup, here's all you need to know to save your family.

Emergency Preparedness #3 ...NUKES!!

We don't like to think about it, but someday we may have to face survival after a nuclear attack.
This links to the official US Government book on nuclear survival. It is out of print so you may want to print this out and keep it. 120 pages.

AND...don't for get your potassium iodide.

Emergency Preparedness #2

The federal government has their own food storage and preparedness website, full of great ideas and links to free reports and stuff.

Most states and some counties have their own emergency preparedness, too.

Emergency Preparedness #1

Several people sent me links to this page and it is a good place to get started. It is written from a Mormon point of view but the information is just as valid for the Gentiles, as well.

"Eradicate the limb of the infidel"

The speech, 20:31 in length, is titled: “Come to a Word that is Just Between Us and You,” which is taken from the Qur’an, Surah al-Imran, verse 64. On the occasion of the month of Ramadan, al-Muhajir calls upon every “free Mujahid” to come to Iraq and engage in jihad, which the emir hopes to increase in ferocity. He states: “It pleases me at the end of my speech to announce the beginning of a great militaristic campaign by the name of the clear conquest, by it we will eradicate the limb of the infidel and the apostate”. >>>LINK<<<

Schoolboys must sit on toilet seats

Urination will go to committeeA local decision that schoolboys must sit on toilet seats when urinating has provoked political debate.
The head of The Democrats Party, a splinter group of former Progress Party hardliners, Vidar Kleppe, is outraged that boys at Dvergsnes School in Kristiansand have to sit and pee.
Kleppe accuses the school of fiddling with God's work, and wants the matter discussed at the executive committee level of the local council, newspaper Dagbladet reports.
"When boys are not allowed to pee in the natural way, the way boys have done for generations, it is meddling with God's work," Kleppe told the newspaper.
"It is a human right not to have to sit down like a girl," Kleppe said. >> LINKS <<

United States-led counterterrorism efforts have seriously damaged the leadership of al-Qa’ida and disrupted its operations; however, we judge that al-Qa’ida will continue to pose the greatest threat to the Homeland and US interests abroad by a single terrorist organization. We also assess that the global jihadist movement—which includes al-Qa’ida, affiliated and independent terrorist groups, and emerging networks and cells—is spreading and adapting to counterterrorism efforts. >>>LINKS<<< http://media.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/nation/documents/Declassified_NIE_Key_Judgments_092606.pdf

Head-in-the-Sand Liberals

By Sam Harris, author of "The End of Faith: Religion, Terror and the Future of Reason."

Two years ago, I published a book highly critical of religion, "The End of Faith." In it, I argued that the world's major religions are genuinely incompatible, inevitably cause conflict and now prevent the emergence of a viable, global civilization. In response, I have received many thousands of letters and e-mails from priests, journalists, scientists, politicians, soldiers, rabbis, actors, aid workers, students — from people young and old who occupy every point on the spectrum of belief and nonbelief. >>LINK<<

Greenleaf, Idaho -- All Americans have the right to bear arms. Some towns have even gone as far as to require each household to have a gun.
