By the way, the translation of the Spanish in the article is :
"we are creating a sanctuary for the Illegal Immigrants. We want them to come here. If in other places they attack them, like in Coast Mesa or Cypress Park,we want to tell them that here they can feel safe."
Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks Finally comes clean, these rural types and rednecks that have made her a multi-millionaire, disgust her.
Blaming the American worker is also fallacious. Toyota employs 37,000 people at its 12 U.S. manufacturing plants; Honda, 25,000 at its three manufacturing plants and 18 other facilities. South Korea's Hyundai is building Sonata sedans and Santa Fe SUVs in Alabama, where 2,000 workers will be employed when the plant reaches capacity. Those are just three of the Asian and European companies that are taking advantage of the American worker's high productivity by building cars and trucks in the United States. Significantly, these workers are not represented by the United Auto Workers.
Just goes to show you that the Feds only hire the cream of the crop. I've often wondered what criteria the government uses to find its quality employees....Must be an ability to limit the number of fellow employees make it to retirement and collect their pensions.

Tomorrow is the constitutionally mandated "State of the Union Address". Look to it for clues as to where we're going in the next few months.
The EU is making peoples beliefs, feelings, and religion illegal.
The resolution, called "Homophobia in Europe," defines homophobia as "an irrational fear and aversion of homosexuality and of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people based on prejudice, similar to racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, sexism." It calls for action against member states that do not implement programs directed at fair treatment of homosexuals in employment and occupation. It also seeks to "ensure that same-sex partners enjoy the same respect, dignity and protection as the rest of society."
- Israel is stronger than ever and U.S. support could hardly be stronger. The 9/11 attacks, if anything, solidified U.S.-Israeli relations, since it brought home the everyday far of terrorist attacks Israelis endure on a daily basis.
- Western forces have indeed left Saudi Arabia, only to be mobilized and reinforced in Arab lands.
- Western forces are deeply entrenched in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other Muslim lands and have toppled the first two regimes and strongly influenced the direction of others, notably Pakistan.
- The U.S. still does not support oppression of Muslims in Russia, China, or India but is certainly less sympathetic to the Chechnyan cause than before 9/11.
- The U.S. has drawn closer to the governments in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, and Jordan, although it is pushing for serious democratization.
- Oil prices have gone up rather dramatically, although owing more to economic growth in China and India than events in the Middle East.
Both the right and the left are against this, despite the SCOTUS ruling that this was OK. In fact, this is probably the reason the ACLU hasn't filed suit to stop it.
Didn't the Supreme Court nix that kind of thing? No, it didn't, although that's a common misconception. The court ruled against imposing prayer on students in the public schools, not studying religion. To quote its decision:
So the earth is overdue for a major shift in magnetism from pole to pole. Shall we start a betting pool? How long before George W. Bush gets blamed for this?
It looks like we are not alone in criticizing American automakers.
MSNBC has asked America what it thinks of U.S. auto companies and the response is generally negative. Poor quality, poor performance and ho-hum designs, along with thw UAW are killing the Big 3.

The ground is ready and the seeds of inevitable war with Iran are being sown. As I've said before, in the present political climate, the Democrats may have to step up and save America. Only a staunch Democrat in this country would be percieved as having no ulterior political motive if he or she were to demand the President and Congress undertake airstrikes against Iran. Only Nixon could go to China, and only Harry Reid can call for airstrikes on Iran. Is there any Democrat out there with the guts to do it? We are praying for one. Harry? Harry, please save America.
Yet another example of the TRUE face of the Illegal Alien Invasion. The sordid world of virtual slavery.
Its guys like Mason Weaver that drive the Democrats CRAZY....A black conservative who refuses to be a good little darkie and shine the massa's boots so the massa can kick 'em good and hard. If you read nothing else today, READ THIS.

According to Donald E. Wildmon, chairman of the American Family Association, NBC’s decision "shows the average American that he doesn’t have to simply sit back and take the trash being offered on TV, but he can get involved and fight back with his pocketbook.
...the incident included an armed standoff involving the Mexican military, suspected drug smugglers and nearly 30 U.S. law enforcement officers. It said Mexican military Humvees were towing what appeared to be thousands of pounds of marijuana across the border into the United States.
"I understand the guilt. We know we're sending recruits to do our dirty work, and we want to seem grateful."
--"Blindly lending support to our soldiers, I fear, will keep them overseas longer by giving soft acquiescence to the hawks who sent them there — and who might one day want to send them somewhere else."
Moreover, one hypothesis in contemporary quantum theory is that without reference to an observer, the universe as a whole does not change in time. If this is true, the notion of evolution is not applicable to the universe as a whole without an external observer and without an external clock that does not belong to the universe.

...In Idaho, nearly 400 abortion protesters marched Saturday at the Statehouse, including Reid Richardson and his 5-year-old stepdaughter, Allie Zebley, who carried sign with her ultrasound photo and the words, "This is me at 16 weeks."
About half that number gathered Sunday outside the Idaho Capitol in support of abortion rights.
... What I am talking about is political theater on a grand scale. No opposition party in American history has ever turned their backs on a President and walked out of a State of the Union address. No opposition party has faced the degree of potential extermination the Democrats face today. The stakes have never been higher. You are dealing with a President who wants to make his Executive powers absolute, and with a Republican party that has been usurped from soup to nuts by extremists that would be cartoonish if they were not so very real.
Of course there is no suggestion that the democrats simply convince Americans of the correctness of their ideals and principles and start winning elections. Indeed the writer seems to admit this is impossible. Therefore, the only thing left to do is to disrupt the government through juvenile demostrations.
Here are some more disturbing figures. Between 1983 and 1993, we aborted 13.5 million babies in the U.S. Their median age today would be 20.5. These are nonexistent, wasted human beings who would be either in college right now, or just graduating high school and starting a job and maybe a family of their own.
Who will replace them? Most likely, 15 million more foreign-born Hispanics with a propensity for hard work and a burning desire to reclaim the American Southwest for Mexico.
Washington will initiate military action against Iran only with extreme reluctance, but it will do so nonetheless, except in the extremely unlikely event that Ahmedinejad were to stand down. Rather than a legacy of prosperity and democracy in the Middle East, the administration of US President George W Bush will exit with an economy weakened by higher oil prices and chaos on the ground in Iraq and elsewhere. But it really has no other options, except to let a nuclear-armed spoiler loose in the oil corridor. We have begun the third act of the tragedy that started on September 11, 2001, and I see no way to prevent it from proceeding.

“You talk about chutzpah (a Yiddish word for impudence), they have the gall to tell us we can’t secure our own borders,” Tancredo said.
Governments like Mexico need to address their own internal problems causing their citizens to flee, seeking jobs in the U.S., he said.

Of course, this stuff is well known to Mormon scholars, but not familiar to many members. The worrying bit is that its sure to be used by anti-Mormons in their quest to destroy the church.
